    Remote Procedure Call

    Hello.

Got that issues since few days. System restarting itself. I have checked windows logs and found that RPC is doing that for some reason. So i have tried to change the options in Remote Procedure Call in control panel. But all the options are grayed and and i can't do that, even when im administrator.

I remember i did that in Win Xp and Vista but cant do it on Win 7 x32. I wanted to change option, so he doing nothing if he find any issues. Restarting system is so annoying.

    Any advice is appreciated.

Type Services.msc in the start, search box. Click on the 'gear' icon, then scroll down to RPC. Right click, choose properties, then set it to Automatic.

Yes, i know that. ( like i said above ) But all options are grayed, can't change any of them.

I am administrator and still that doesn't help at all.

Have you run your anti-virus/anti-spyware programs?

grayed out is quite normal for some services! RPC Call is also greyed out on my machine.

Does it happen after a minutes after logon? Or random after a few hours?

After few hours. I should be able to change that RPC option, same as was in Xp / Vista. Microsoft tech said, that it should be changeable if i am logged as administrator. Not sure whats wrong.

It's not possible to change it! Not even when logged in as built-in admin account.
But can be changed if editting the registry (I don't tell you how). RPC is a crucial component so shouldn't fail at all!

What is logged in eventlog about this error?

    In Elevated Command Prompt

    Code:
    sfc /scannow
Any integrity violations? If so... run it again. Everything repaired?

But it was possible in Xp and Vista to change something like "Do not take any action" instead restart. It isn't some crucial option in my opinion.

    No issues after
    sfc /scannow
