Under power options, when set to anytime after 1 minute, the PC doesn't go to sleep when idle. The problem isn't the pc going to sleep; it does that no problem. It just ignores any time after 1 minute. Can anyone help out with this? I've been trying to figure this out for the past couple of days and it's really bugging me.

Run it 3 separate times.
Sleep issues are often caused by the Display driver. Update yours, or try another version. Older drivers are queued at Device Manager>Display>Driver>Update>Browse>Let me pick.
If this only occurred recently, try a System Restore to a point before it happened.
Have you used any tweaking suites or optimizers on Win7? What AV and firewall are you using? We recommend absolutely no tweaking beyond normal System settings, Microsoft Security Essentials with the Win7 firewall for best performance.
Ran it 3 times and each time it gave me "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations".
I just rolled back the display driver to test the most recent theory. I haven't done any tweaking or optimizations on this machine. It's fairly new as I just got it less than a month ago. I'm using McAfee antivirus and the stock firewall. Steam was totally preventing sleep due to holding onto an audio stream but I did a "powercfg -requestsovveride" and fixed that problem. Like I said, it goes to sleep no problem but if I set "Put the computer to sleep" for any time longer than 1 minute, the monitor just shuts off but the computer remains on.
MucAfee is the worst thing you can impose on your PC. I would replace it pronto with Microsoft Security Essentials with the Win7 firewall which may itself solve the problem.
With that type of crapware running you are also a candidate to Clean Up Factory Bloatware.
Might this issue have anything to do with devices like the mouse and the keyboard? There's an option in the power management tab for device driver properties that allows the device to wake the computer.
I honestly don't think it has anything to do with the mouse and keyboard. The PC goes to sleep and wakes up normally, it just doesn't follow the time guidelines I set in power management. Everything above 1 minute isn't followed...it's something weird with this PC as I have another Windows 7 64-bit machine and it follows the times guidelines no problem. The only difference between the two machines was McAfee and I just got rid of that program. I'm going to keep narrowing things down but I'm really appreciating the input you guys are giving me.
