The answer to the question was distributed to the license holder along with the key.
But they provided that info for XP. They too don't have any idea..how to do it in Windows 7. They say they haven't adopted Windows 7 yet so they can't help!!!

Post the instructions they provided for XP.

My challenge in helping you is simple - You are being evasive. I think you are dealing with pirated software. Prove me wrong.

You r just making wild guess and digressing thread..I'm using pirated software or not how it's related to my question ? If you know the answer then simply answer it. Name of the software, pirated software etc have nothing to do with my question or answer.

But since you are very interested in knowing what the software manufacture folks told me so listen: when I've problem locating licence.key file since I'm not a experienced user so I sought their help and my friend's help both told me I can merge licence.key file after completing installation of software. This trick worked for me in XP but in Windows 7 there is no such for merging key files. Other than this there software comes with general read me and help file which contain common instruction for installing key files. Every company doesn't provide same level of technical assistance.

Since now you've got answer of your query so pls from henceforth pls write only when u have working solution. No more queries and doubts guys! Pls stick to the topic.

Thanks anyway to everybody for trying to help me...

    That is still being evasive...

I agree with Antman...if you truly wanted help with activating this software than you would:

    1. Post what the software is
    2. Post the instructions that the company gave you for XP so we can defer a method from it
    3. Post some type of reasonable proof that the software is indeed yours. We can't provide support to get pirated software working. I want to give you the benefit of the doubt but you are making it hard

I don't understand what is evasive here ? I JUST WANNA KNOW HOW TO MERGE A LICENCE.KEY FILE IN WINDOWS 7 LIKE WE DO IN XP, SIMPLE. I can tell u list of 100 softwares. In my previous post I name teracopy and Kaspersky. How many names you want ? I've newly installed windows 7, I'm installing those software in it which I used to use in XP. The list of those software is long. How can I name each and every software and its instruction which I got months back and when I told u I got the WORKABLE SOLUTION in the form of merging key files then what is the use of posting their instruction here ? Use ur brain guys.

ok lets make life simple. For example, to add a license.key file in kaspersky, all i do is click the browse button and locate the .key file and click next to proceed. So basically, .key extension is unknown to windows. It can be added by the help of the software itself which you are trying to activate.

    Hope its lucid and helpful,
    Dinesh.

Of course no company would do that. Why any company would like to encourage piracy. Merging file does't encourage piracy in anyway, IMO. I read in some online forums feature of merging file is used for various reasons. You seem to be some piracy expert.
