If the partition can be marked Active then it is an MBR disk so wouldn't work in EFI mode at all. Try Legacy Mode.

I asked for a Partition Wizard picture when you get to those steps in Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot

If your PC is heavily infected it may save time to do a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 deleting all partitions during the booted install. There is a step to rescue any files needed first including those which need backing up from the tutorial.
