    "Wall or flooring.
Whitening toothpaste, hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle, plus a hand towel
Try toothpaste first, as it will be most gentle on your surfaces. Apply directly onto your hand towel and gently rub stain in a circular motion. If this is not working, turn to the hand sanitizer and do the same. The hand sanitizer works on most surfaces, but if it does not, lightly spray with rubbing alcohol and dab out the stain.
If you used toothpaste, your wall or floor may be left with a bit of a film -- just wipe it clean with a warm cloth. If you used hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol, you should not see any remnants of either, but it wouldn't hurt to run a warm cloth over the area."

Tpau has good tips. I don't know what's in hairspray but it seems to work to, wait, I found the ingredients on amazon Its gotta be one of them:
    Ingredients
Alcohol Denat., Hydrofluorocarbon 152A, Octylacrylamide/Acrylates/Butylaminoethyl Methacrylate Copolymer, VA/Crotonates/Vinyl Neodecanoate Copolymer, Aminomethyl Propanol, Dimethyl Stearamine, Propylene Glycol, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Fragrance (Parfum), Isopropyl Myristate, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Hexyl Cinnamal, Water (Aqua, Eau), Panthenol, Linalool, Hydroxycitronellal, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Limonene.
    I think it comes unscented.

There is a couple of primers / stain blockers that I've used that work well; Kilz and Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 in looking around it seems you'll have an easier time finding the Zinsser in the UK.
