Come back from being afk, and this happens...

Windows 7 error sound plays repeatedly, q is entered into text box in every application open. This is annoying...

Is the q key stuck on the keyboard?

I don't think so as it only happens the instant I come back from being afk for more than 30 seconds. Also, I found someone on Reddit that has the exact same problem. They're taking their computer in this week to find out the problem. I cannot afford that.

Maybe the q key is worn out?

does the problem persist if the keyboard is unplugged? try a different keyboard.

    It's a laptop keyboard.

If you have a spare keyboard around, try plugging it in and disabling your laptop keyboard to see if the problem persists.

I had the same problem with my fresh installed Win 7 Ult 64-bit on a PC. I thought the problem was the keyboard or the mouse , changed them , but the problem was still there. Finally run Malwarebytes and it found a rootkit - it was deleted and the problem was solved.
