    Your computer specs, like mine but yours.

    For example:

    PC: Advent
    CPU: P4 2.8Ghz

    Etc.

    Would you happen to have the restore discs that came with the computer or the Windows 7 disc?

    I don`t think I would get her involved in that, using the recovery partition would be an easier option for her.

    Work through these steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start.

    The steps try everything possible to get WIn7 started, then if necessary rescue your files to run Factory Recovery or Clean Reinstall.

    To run the Dell Diagnostics power down your system and wait 10 seconds. Power your system up when you get to the Dell BIOS screen press F12, select diagnostics, run these alongside any extended tests.
