Why the new laptop i bought have only 100 days gurantee left?

i bought a lenovo laptop a few days before from a local shop(carrefour)
they said it have 2 years guarantee but when ichecked up the lenovo websites
it shows only 100 days left from the guarantee(265 day passed)
    what does it means?
does it means that someone else were using my laptop before i buy it?

If it is only a few days old, I'd contact Carrefour and ask them. I wouldn't want any confusion on the warranty.

It may mean that the warranty started the day the laptop was shipped from Lenovo to Carrefour, but that would seem unusual to me. I'd expect a warranty to start on the day of the retail sale to you.

Somehow, the math doesn't add up. If the product has a 2 year guarantee, and 265 days have passed, then you wouldn't have 100 days remaining, you would have 465 days remaining.

So, to answer your question "What does it means"? At the very least, it means someone has poor math skills and you are being short changed.

I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about! I used the numbers in your post to provide the discrepency in the math.

In any event, good luck getting things sorted out.

i just mean you have to read carefully what i wrote
when i purchased it they said me it have 2 year warranty
    okay?
then i bought it and checked up the internet and inter my s/n in lenovo website and i see following things:
1-the warranty is not 2 years (just 1 year)
2-from this 1 year only 100 days is left

    is it clear enough?

You never mentioned that you only had a 1 year warranty when checking with Lenovo.

    Here's your quote;

    "shop(carrefour)
they said it have 2 years guarantee but when ichecked up the lenovo websites
it shows only 100 days left from the guarantee(265 day passed)"

Do you see anything there that clarifies you were told by Lenovo that the guarantee was for 1 year?

    Anyway, good luck.

    yes
    that's the point
    i didn't mention it
so the conclusion is that the warranty was 1 year not that i have a poor math skill
    that's not smart enough

Well that's one way to look at it, I suppose.
