Another PXE E53 Error thread, but after trying win/linux dual booting.

I have/had windows 7 on my newest machine, i also have a 9.10 version of Ubuntu which i wanted dual booted along 7. I made a 20GB partition along side, so there was room for both. Upon the trial i went to install Ubuntu and did what i thought was an alongside install. but upon checking there seems to be a good 1016GB odd, "free" space and the WIn7 is no where to be found. I have a win 7 iso on a dvd but it's not booting, have tried setting cd then hdd in the BIOS, disabling PXE but nothing works. Cant really open up the machine at the moment due to warranty issues and am not sure that the company can repair those, just software. And again the error:
PXE E53, Boot device not found, etc pops up. Even had an error with the system recovery, which was quite odd. i have another working machine (on at the moment) but the new one was vastly superior. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
