Could this possibly be a server issue???
At any rate I think I'll wait till this is resolved. Or call before making the purchase. Please keep us informed.
Thanks.
Yeah the reps have been saying this is a problem for many people, but I'm surprised it hasn't hit the news. The news goes after every server overload that Apple gets...
Well let us know how it works out. Many of us would like to get a copy at that price... even if we don't plan on installing it right away :)
hi all you who have payed for windows 8 why not log in to your paypal acounts go to your resolution page to see if payment has gone throught if it has not you can stop it ok hope this helps sorry about spelling losed glases
The first one did, but I was confused as to the problem and tried a couple more times. I don't have any money left in my account, so this didn't go through.
I talked to Paypal and they said that I have to talk to microsoft.
Why the hell did Microsoft launch Windows 8 on a Friday? And not even temporarily extend their support hours?
They closed at around 5 local time (prob 6 pacific), after just launching a brand new OS with an unusual purchase and install method! At the bare minimum they should provide support until 9pm PST, and i don't even know if they will be open during the weekend!
+1 877 244 8653 is another windows store support which is open...
Yeah I have to agree with you on that. That was a dumb move. Hopefully they're open tomorrow cause I would imagine you aren't the only one who has issues.
@ kenneth3364,
As has been said, once a transaction has gone through to a vendor, then PayPal makes you deal with the vendor (first) and if the issue isn't resolved, then you can file a dispute. In a way it's kind of a protection to the vendors since, for example, I can order something, get it, then turn around and have the payment cancelled.
One thing FuturDreamz can do, I've had to do it myself, is see if PayPal will do a 3 way conference call where all parties are on the phone and try and fix the issue then and there. This way everyone is clear of what’s going on and no one gets duped.
But, if the OP has a receipt showing his account was charged, I would think sending a copy via e-mail to the vendor would help get the issue resolved quickly. On the other hand if Microsoft knows it’s an issue on their end, they simply need to get it fixed ASAP.
Microsoft keeps on saying they have no record of anything. They're looking, but my money just vanished into thin air.
I gave them the invoice ID and they found the payment. I'm not 100% positive because I swear the guy is just mumbling, but I believe they will be cancelling the transaction and returning the money into my account. Hopefully paypal will put it back into my debit account.
