I won't find out for a little while, though.
I may still buy Windows 8, but I might try to do it over the phone.
Considering all the drama you went through, I think thats your best bet.
Based on your experience, I won't place my order till Monday morning. This way I have all day and all week to deal with any issues that may arise.

Have the exact same problem. I really thought Microsoft had their phones open longer than 5 pm since I some time ago had a supporter help me personally Saturday night at 10 pm with a Windows activation.
I kinda new that MS would f**k this up, but I guess I wanted to test if I was right. Also the price and the upgrade process seemed very appealing.
so far all I managed to do is void the other two attempts I made.
That helps a little, as now I don't have to worry about any more money getting taken out of my account.
As it turns out, Microsoft won't let you get the $40 or $15 discount prices over the phone
They do say that they support Virtual Visa, just that their server is overloaded.
I should get my money back by Tuesday, and i think I'll try again after that, once the reviews are in.

What a bag of red wigglers. Is their/there a Microsoft site that will inform us what you can buy, when you can buy and how much? So far all I get out of all this is; If you got this and want that do this and pay what ever. But now if you downloaded that and want to up graded to this or that you could do this unless you already got that and want to upgrade to this. Of course if you have got that you must wait for that and this in a upgrade.
