StickyNotes usage problem once installed on Win7Ultimate X86

As you all probably know, StickyNotes doesn't exist in the aforementioned version of Win7. I had a stickynot.exe file from an old windows copied and pasted into system32 on my current Win.
As of now, the app works but only in creating notes, not deleting them!!!
That's not what I was going for!
So, I'm wondering if there was some additional app extension file I was supposed to copy together with the .exe file, so it would work properly...
Please, help me figure it out?

Welcome again to Seven Forums lovelyjewels. You say Sticky Notes doesn't exist in Ultimate? Why do you say this? Ultimate come with Sticky Notes, or is supposed to:

Sticky Notes is available only in the Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate, and Enterprise editions of Windows 7.

You might try running the System File Checker, and see if it will recreate the original stickynot.exe (Save a copy of your current in case you want to use it again)

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Sometimes people have to enable Tablet PC Components to get sticky notes to work

Windows Features - Turn On or Off

Scroll down to Tablet PC Components and put a check next to it, then restart your system. But I would run the SFC as you should have already had the correct file in System32.

thanx for the detailed reply!
however, im past the tabletPC check, and also past the sfc check - there was no stickynot.exe file in the designated folder, thats why i went and got a copy of it from the old installation. actually, i saw someone else (here or elswhere, i dont remember) that had the same problem w/this particular win7.
thats why i hoped to get the app running from the .exe file but apparently its a bit crippled as it is... doesnt delete notes and also doesnt give the colors options.
so, any ideas about what i need to do to get the new file working properly?

KSOD upon logging in (Win7Ultimate x64)
I figured this was the best place to put this. I've been experiencing the infamous Black Screen of Death for a few days now. I've tried scouring Google for an answer, but most answers seem to rely on uninstalling a specific program or restarting 'explorer.exe' through the Task Manager. The...

StickyNotes Disappears??
I use my Windows 7 sticky notes pinned to my bottom tray. Lately after my pc restarts the sticky notes icon disappears from my bottom tray. Usually I find the icon in the accessories catagory & I just re-execute it & repin it to the bottom tray. But after my last recycle of the pc, sticky notes is...

Question with RAM usage; 8gb installed, 3.21 Total Physical
Hello, this is probably an age-old question, but is it natural for a computer to only use only a portion of its installed RAM? I'm aware that a 32 bit system has limitations on how much RAM can be used, but it seems ridiculous to have 8GB of RAM installed and only 3.21 GB total. On my last...
