    Startup calling files

    Dear Supporters,

I have got windows 8 now, so if this is the wrong section let me know, however I'm sure the answer will be the same for both systems.

I have installed some old drivers for my usb headset (Sound Blaster arena headset) but now when I start the machine up it tried to run ctamon.dll

In windows 7 you just had to download an update package from creatives website and it took care of the problem, however this is not the case with windows 8. So I tried moving ctamon.dll and now I get an error when I start that it cannot be found, however the headset and all its software is work perfectly.

My question is, how do I find the list of files that windows runs when it starts and remove this item from that list?

    Thanks,

    DK

Oops! I just found the solution (typical...been searching all morning, and then when I post...), its a really handy program to see everything windows does at start up (by Microsoft):

    Autoruns for Windows v11.34

Sorry for wasting your time, hopefully someone will find this helpful!
