Windows 7: Computer Dysfunctional after new Motherboard

Computer Dysfunctional after new Motherboard

So long story short i had to upgrade my motherboard to the one currently listed in my System Specs, The one i replaced was a ECS A885GM-A2 (V1.1) AM3 AMD 880G

After doing so i have found my computer unusable; It boots up as long as i don't touch the mouse or click on anything, once every 5-6 boots it seems to act normal till it gets reset, then the cycle repeats. As soon as i move the mouse around everything hangs, so i shortcut into Task Manager, but it never pops up. Hitting Computer from the Start Menu does nothing either. So i Ctrl Alt Del and get a black screen for a few seconds then a message saying that the security options for Ctrl Alt Del can't be displayed.

I am not sure what to do here... If its an issue with my mouse, it'd be a new one.

Just a random afterthought. I've managed to get into the Task Manager and snooped around some before it freezes and i noticed the service "Browser" was turned off. According to the description its the computers browser, so i tried to turn it on but to no avail. Not sure if that means anything.

I would follow these steps to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

If the mouse continues with its problems then replace it.

I am not sure if its the mouse itself causing the problems though, also i don't have my Windows 7 CD and can't afford to buy a new one, so i would rather fix it than just buy a new OS again.

Windows 8 Pro (32-bit)

Did you try having the mouse unplugged when booting?
You should be able to login using the keyboard, and get past the point where the computer would reset before, if the mouse is the culprit.

Why would you think you need to buy Win7 again? You own the copy which came with the PC to reinstall as often and in any way you want. Everything you need is in the tutorial.

Otherwise work through these Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7
