too bad the ms KB article isn't much good for me as the dll is in the root of my d drive.
anyone have a fix for that?
i am sure it is related to some of Nikon software and the way most of who set up for photography properly will setup all temp files and caches to be on a seperate drive.
I've found a copy of the file on the root of my E: drive. It is not what it claims to be.
Internally it says it is version 8.00.50727.762 (SP.050727-7600), but the file is 904,704 bytes instead of the 625,152 bytes it should be. Check the file size against the one in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VC. If they don't match you may have a bogus file.
I think that in my case this one is malware-related.
Hi,
i have the same problem. Two partition on my PC. On C Windows 7 Professional (x64) are installed and D is my data partition.
As you can see from the attached print screen msdia80.dll can be found in both partitions. What should i do?
I copy the file into C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VC folder.
Then i typed the following command regsvr32 C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VC\msdia80.dll and got the message in regsvr32.jpg.
I then tried to download the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update but i noticed that there three options to download as shown in download.jpg.
What should i do?
Got that msdia80.dll in root C:\, v8.0.50727.762 (884ko)...
and in
-C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VC \... folder in version 8.0.50.727.4053 (627ko)
-C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VC \amd64... folder in version 8.0.50727.4053 (894ko).
So, got three of them in two versions!
No msdia80.dll appears in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VC \....
