    Help me restore boot screen windows 7 to default


    hi guys, i have acer aspire 4736z laptop with windows 7 ultimate 32 bit SP1 (build 7601) .. before this i use windows 7 boot updater to change my boot screen to custom.. after a weeks my windows have problem at startup .. then i run startup repair use my windows 7 DVD but cannot resolve cause failed to find my OS on harddisk..i dont have any backup or restore files... i try manually repair use command promt
    • bcdedit /export C:\BCD_Backup
    • c:
    • cd boot
    • attrib bcd -s -h -r
    • ren c:\boot\bcd bcd.old
    • bootrec /RebuildBcd

    and i get my windows back but boot screen changed to Vista boot screen style !.. i already try bcdedit /set {current} locale en-US &
    bcdboot %WinDir% /l en-US

    Its doesnt work for me, i tried for 9/10 times as well.

    It's been a long time since I messed with customizing boot screens, but from what I recall, the boot animation was done using a file named winload.exe. When you customized a boot screen, it renamed the original file and built a new file using that name.

    If you can find someone else with the same Win7 version, you might be able to get this working by copying their winload.exe file onto your PC.

    How are you activating Ultimate on that Vista laptop? This is often caused by BIOS-level cracktivation.
