Folder view settings not saving !

    that has movies and its view is "details" i changed it to videos or any it doesn't change

    Is this folder on a removable drive? If so, then that may be why. Folder views are not remembered on removable drives when they are disconnected or turned off.

    Is this a library? If not, then what's the full path to the folder?

    Sorry i missed that. ...........

    Its not a removable drive ..........
    Few days back it was working fine " i was able to save and switch view "

    I always turn off system restore so i cannot go back in time :)

    Is your 80GB hard drive nearly full? If so that may be why some settings aren't saved.
    If not maybe a Repair Install is in order.

    drives one 20GB free other 8GB free

    dont have a source to repair install ........... Net also sux to download a ne copy ......
    I decided to live with the problem .T

    Beret,

    If you like, you might take a look through the tutorial below to see if it may be able to help free up enough HDD space so that your folder views may hopefully work again. :)

Hi, i have setup view in my documents by moving the divider that shows the size etc,but everytime i go back to my documents i have to set it up again? why can't it remember? thanks riptorn:confused:

Hey guys, Is there any way to make a reg file that I can tweak ALL the windows explorer views to show just the following: Name | Size | Date modified http://img826.imageshack.us/img826/4108/win7v.png Windows drives me crazy with it's "defaults" for various views. Any help appreciated.
Hi, is there a way to set a folders options like viewing icons and having all the subfolders inherit those settings? I know I can go to organize, folder and search options, view and then apply to folders...but I don't want ALL folders with this view, just this folder and subfolders.

I just got windows 7 a few weeks ago and wanted to know if it remembers the folder views as well as xp ? When i had vista and i would configure all my folders,the sizes of the folders and the icons inside would rearrange and get all disconfiguered again.Like if i set some folders with medium icons...
