    Hello,

I have the same issue with a fresh install !

Boot time is very good with the guest account or an user account, but with the admin account it take 30 sec to the "Welcome screen" !

Work also fine in safe mode...

    How to solve this issue?

Do you have any mapped network-drives?

    Hello,

None. I have even disabled this function and that does not change anything.

If I'm right, you have a different problem than I had. Your delay is before the welcome screen, mine was after. I don't know the solution to your problem, maybe someone else here has some ideas.

    Hello,

In fact my problem is now solved by a re-installation of win seven...

    Thanks for your help.

    Alternate solution

I was having the same problem and tried a lot of different things to find a solution. On my home built PC, I forget to tell the BIOS that I don't have a floppy drive. The two things I did to eliminate the blank screen hang after the Welcome screen were:

    1. Made sure my NAS was powered on and connected - my Win7 box auto connects at startup.

    2. Disabled the floppy disk in the BIOS.

I used to spend 90 seconds waiting for the desktop to load after entering my password to login. Now it takes 3 seconds.

Total boot time start to finish was 2 minutes 15 seconds. Now it is 48 seconds.

Thanks for letting us know. Looks like Windows has problems when it can not find some offline location (like mapped network drives that are offline or a NAS that is not turned on).
