Generally, with Dell's as they have a history of compatibility problems with non-Dell memory, its recommended to use Crucial memory as its guaranteed to work in Dell's.

I don't see an Optiplex GX5200 on the Dell support site. I do find a GX520, could this be the model number? There are three versions of the GX520, Minitower, Desktop (thin case) and Small Form Factor.

The Crucial Memory listing for the GX520 is here. This is the US site but I believe they have a European site.

firebird, good catch looks like my search with Dell dropped a zero off the model number. Hopefully the OP meant a GX520 as typing in a GX5200 brought nothing up.

Make sure it has a warranty for parts and tech support and includes the OS COA sticker on the box. You can use this if needed to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.
