install a temp monitoring software like temp core and let us know what the temps are reading during idle and heavy load like that which is turning off your computer. This sounds like a possible overheating issue, when was the last time you cleaned the computer by using something like an air can to clean your fans and vents?

I was just about to suggest this and also ask where does the laptop sit when you are using it? Has it a clear space underneath and I would re iterate the need to "blow" the dust out frequently. IMHO it is overheating!

    CoreTemp

Post a screenshot of the program's readings using:

Speccy and CPUID HWMonitor are also good programs for monitoring your temperatures.

It is okay, we are patient, if you take your time, then we know you are hopefully following instructions, also some of us are bored at work while browsing the forums...

Don't let the boss see that else he/she will find you something nasty to do? Have the company toilets been cleaned this morning?
