    I need serious Help

So I noticed that my PC wasn't using my full amount of RAM which is 4gb.. it is only using 3.3gb.

So i went onto MSconfig and the maximum memory tab i checked it. it wanted me to restart my pc, which i did but when it restarted.. it said hardware or program failure occured, and i had to options try to load in normal mode or load up repair which i did.

And it went to normal mode.. it loaded up.. very very slowly then i had a little message saying windows didn't load properly on the desktop. now nothing will load.

So now im stuck in safe mode until i can fix it.

Hi AlphaK3, As you are using the 32bit system you will not be able to use the full 4gb of ram due to the 32bit ram system limitations , Have you yied a system restore prior to before you messed with the ram ? :)

When i restarted it and got the error message i did the repair windows option or whatever it says... it said it would load a point before the error occured, but i still got the same slow performance

Hi AlphaK3 , Run the system file checker SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker this will detect any corrupt system files , By the way Welcome to the forums :)

You'll never get to "use" all the ram installed. Windows reserves some for system requirements. Here it is straight from microsoft.

The usable memory may be less than the installed memory on Windows 7-based computers

Your slow performance is probably due to other issues. (if slow before)

I have better news.. I unchecked the box to not get maximum memory, and guess what it works again.. well faster then before.
