In post #3 you said the version is Windows 7 Home Premium. If that is correct, then there is a version conflict. Could you please post back with some clairification?

Will the DVD you burned boot on another computer? If not then it's defective and you need to try again.

I recommend using ImgBurn and burn at 4X (or the slowest speed available). I don't see why burning it on a Mac should matter but if you can, try ImgBurn from a Windows system.

You could also create a bootable flash drive (has to be larger than 4GB) using Universal USB Installer Easy as 1 2 3 from the .iso.

Start the program, select Windows 7 from the first drop down, all the way at the bottom. Select the .iso and your flash drive, press Start and in 20 minutes or so you will have a bootable flash drive to install Windows 7 from. It's considerably faster than installing from DVD.

Why would you expect Win7 to boot after you moved its Active flag, without first moving it back? Hello?

You need to mark the orignal Win7 boot partition Active. It will either be a 100mb System Reserved partition or the Win7 partition Itself. Partition - Mark as Active (Method Two)

It should start as soon as you mark it Active again, but if not it may because you had another partition marked Active or it's corrupted. In that case run Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times.

If that fails work through these steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start
which work up to possibly rescuiing your files if necessary to run Factory Recovery disks or do the superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. The Win7 installer is in Step 1 to use for repairs or reinstall.

You can also boot free Partition Wizard bootable CD to see a visual map to mark the WIn7 or 100mb System Reserved partition Active. If it fails to boot you can then try highlighting the Win7 disk to Rebuild MBR which may start Win7 without needing to do the Repairs. Partition Wizard Rebuild MBR Video Help.
