Computer Shuts Down But Will Not Continue to Reboot

I've an interesting problem I've never come into before... when I hit 'reboot', my computer shuts down fine but when it is supposed to reboot, my monitor light stays orange (whereas it's blue when it's in use) and the computer just never... boots I guess. The screen stays black. If I press the reboot button on my tower, then I can boot into windows.

I've checked the event viewer and nothing came up except something about a missing driver (The AODDriver4.2 service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the file specified.).

This has been going on since I performed a system restore a month ago because an update of Malwarebytes (to the latest version) literally killed my internet (ISP came out and for three weeks worked on it - giving me a new, direct line I don't share with anyone in my apartment, giving me a new ethernet cable, trying a new network card etc) and finally I was told to uninstall all AV/anti-malware programs one by one (since I've MS Security Essentials and MWB), and after MWB was uninstalled, bam, my internet was fine.).

Not sure what's going on, and I don't really know what information to provide for this since there isn't an error, my Windows just isn't booting.

MWB said nothing was detected (full scan), same for my AV, so what could this be?

ETA; From the Event Viewer, listed as Warning, at the time I rebooted:

The Transaction (UOW={c055ddca-29fe-11e2-b7f3-00261840ca2c}, Description='') was unable to be committed, and instead rolled back; this was due to an error message returned by CLFS while attempting to write a Prepare or Commit record for the Transaction. The CLFS error returned was: 0xc0190052.

In addition to running SFC -SCANNOW Command and Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times for CLFS.sys error, are you using AMD Overdrive for overclocking or tweaking?

AODDriver 4.01 is used by AMD OverDrive, tune parameters to help system stability, optimize performance, and control cooling/acoustic characteristics.

I would look in your Device Manager, on View tab Show Hidden Devices, and if it's listed and you don't use it I would Uninstall it there and in Control Panel.

If you've done massive tweaking of Win7 then I'd fall back to your oldest Restore Point to see if you can find a stable configuration. If not then I'd follow the Best Practices for Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 (same for retail) then stick with the tools and methods which assure a perfect install going forward.

If these don't resolve the issue then it's likely a hardware problem. Does your board have hardware which installs this erroring driver?
