    So I Need Help !!!

I hate WMP 12 Not having Player In taskbar !!!

ME Like a Dumb Newb, I tried To Downgrade using this tutorial LINK ---->

How to Get Windows Media Player (WMP) Taskbar Toolbar Back in Windows 7? - Tweaking with Vishal

Well I every thing was gonna go Fine after Completeing Every task with Precaution

Then I got ONE error During the Install OF WMP 11 for Windows Seven

So i tried to Take OwnerShip again of that error file Would do anything,So I ignored the error And it said Everything Else was successfull.

Now my New WMP 11 DOES WORK, Sort of !

    THIS WILL BRING BACK WMP12

    1. Open start and type "turn fea" then hit enter.
    2. A window will open, deselect 'Windows Media Player' (as shown)

Note: Deselecting WMP will require you to allow it to deselect WMC.

    3. Press OK, restart.
    4. Repeat step 1, then reselect 'Windows Media Player' (as shown)

Note: If you want to use WMC you will need to reselect that as well.

    5. Select OK, restart again, see if its back to WMP 12.

MS didn't put WMP11 in Windows 7 for a reason, try finding a way to get WMP 12 in the taskbar instead of getting WMP 11 in Windows 7.

    Hi r600mura

I did a similar process on my windows 7 as in my opinion wmp 12 sucks. I got wmp 11 installed with no errors and it can play music etc but it was unable to use any plugins. Iv now uninstalled wmp 12 and 11 from my pc and im looking for an alternative player.

I know that doesnt help you lol but you should think about removing all traces of wmp from your pc and then doing an sfc /scannow followed by a complete virus scan.

One of the better alternative players is VLC ( Download VLC Media Player 1.0.2 - FileHippo.com ).

I prefer Media Player Classic for videos. I only used WMP for music but anyway il try not to hijack this thread and just say that heres a list of alternatives players - Comparison of media players - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hope you find a solution r600mura

    Glad to hear it.

I'm sure there is a way, try asking in our customization section or in the software section.

If you feel like its worth it to have it on the taskbar, try this thread.

May have to skip to the first page, it auto-put me on page 3

ok again i tried this tutorial on a fresh install of win7, heres the link

Get Taskbar Toolbar (Taskband) Back in WMP12 Under Windows 7 - Tweaking with Vishal

So I did everything, And when i Opened WMP the first time it tell me "Windows Media Player was not closed properly.A damaged or incompatible plugin might have caused the problem to occur. As a precaution, all optional plugins have been disabled.

Wow I so mad I hate you Windows7............J/K i love it........but i wish i could get this damn Taskband
