    All my desktop icons are blocked and removed ?


    Hello,

    I need some help please

    I was trying to clean my C disk and in that purpose I was changing some attributes inside the users folder. I m not sure what have I done, but the dialog opened, process started and after that my PC wasn't the same?!
    First thing I have noticed is that the desktop icons were gone with only two exceptions, Recycle Bin and My Computer.
    Right click and "View my icons" command, has only showed my User name icon, which is empty and useless?!
    When right-clicking any file or a folder, with intention to send a shortcut to desktop, that option ws gone. There is only send to floppy and CD. It's like a twilight zone?!
    One other thing, I tried to run Photoshop but I couldn't due to some "System error".
    Before I made those stupid changes inside the User folder, everything worked fine.

    I have to mention one other thing, my System restore was turned off. So no chance of restoring my system to when it was perfect...

    It's reckless to run without System Restore functioning for reasons like this one, and to make changes without even realizing what they are.

    Try SFC -SCANNOW Command.

    If that fails run a Repair Install.

    In the future keep a Win7 backup image of a perfect install after setup, so you can always fall back on that.

Desktop Icons removed

Hi, All of my desktop shortcuts and programs (excluding the defaults like Recycle Bin) were removed from the desktop after I uninstalled the Medal of Honor PC Demo from my computer. My brother actually installed the game on his User, and used my User as an Admin account without me knowing....
Network icons can't be removed

I recently renamed computers on my network. The old icons with the old names still appear. How can I get rid of them?
