    Assistance Please!

    OS Windows 7, 64 bit

It appears that the last round of Microsoft updates caused some errors? deletion? of an important file folder .... App Data\Local\Temp\7zS63E\Setup.\Setup\blocksysuser... on my Toshiba L750 laptop, I have seemingly corrected most of the problems, but I cannot reinstall all the software for my HP Photosmart Printer. System Restore proved to be not up to the task of repairing the problem, and running sfc \scannow did not detect any apparent errors?

Is there anything I can do to correct this problem, short of running my 5 rescue disks to reinstall everything?

    Assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I am aware of this, but when I attempt to reinstall the software for my HP Photosmart printer/scanner, that is the error message that appears. The software will not install?

App Data\Local\Temp\7zS63E is the same as folder 7zS63E in your temp folder so %temp%\7zS63E

    • reboot and logon
    • delete all files in %temp%. Only a few may be undeleteable.
    • Now install the software again
    • What folder is it asking for now? What folder is actually created in %temp% ?

Is always 7zS63E part of the error message? blocksysuser is in %temp% I think but in another subfolder. Where in %temp% is blocksysuser now?

In %temp% appears no extra folder when you install? Clear %temp% first!
And post full error message please
