It's in my price range, and the RAM and hard drive should be easily accessible from the bottom.
That's the computer I bought last summer on sale for $100 less. Mine has the i3 instead of the i5 this one has, which easily accounts for the $100 difference, so I would say it is a good deal. Changing out the HDD and RAM will be easier than on an ASUS which requires removing the keyboard to do so. I'm happy with my Lenovo G570. The only thing I do not like is there is no way to permanently turn off the *&^%$#@! touchpad (a minor point).

I would suggest using it for a while before changing out anything (especially while it is under warranty). 4 GB of RAM is plenty for all but heavy graphics and video editing. The HDD is a good one and should be quite serviceable unless you need more capacity (in which case, waiting until you do need it would be wise; you'll get more bang for your buck).

Are the hinges still working OK?

And, can you see the screws, cause I would want to put some lock tight on the threads so they never come out.

I'm leaning towards this one cause my X220 is a very solid machine.
