Question on Windows 7 Versions

Thanks for your answers guys, i have another question on the Chart of Comparisons of Windows 7 i saw that " Physical Processor Support " thing, what does that mean?

I have done many tests on a few different machines with HP, Pro and Ultimate.

The same machine with HP installed vs Ultimate installed etc.

Believe it or not I think Home Premium is the fastest.

yeah i already have Ultimate installed but sometimes my computer is lagging at some point so i asked here if whats the lighter version of Win7

How long has it been since the install ? If you`re not happy with it, you can always reinstall.

Has it been defraged regularly ?

Disk cleanup ?

errm no, well starting now ill do defragmenting to my comp and see if it speeds up thanks for your advice sir

It mean how many PHYSICAL CPUs the OS supports. Do not confuse Physical with the number of CORES. A Physical CPU is the actual processor package. All current CPUs being made today are looked at as ONE (1) Physical CPU even if they 4, 6, 8 or whatever numbers of processor cores included, placed, on the dye that gets installed into the computers CPU socket.

There are very few boards, especially for home use, that have 2 or more CPU sockets.
