Picture and Video icons mess up?

I was on my computer one day and had seen that my picture and video folder icon's was messed up. So I went to C:\Users\(Username) and then right-clicked one of the two folders, then clicked properties, then customize and went to 'Folder icons' and clicked 'Change icon...' and last I press was 'Reset to default' which should've reset that folders icon to the default icon, but it gave me this (picture down below, look at video folder icon) and when I did the same for the Picture folder it gives me the exact same icon and I know, before they messed up, they had two different icons. Now my Shell32.dll only shows one default icon for both the Picture and Video folder. How do I get the regular icons back? I'm picky about this stuff and I don't want two folders with the same icon. It would drive me insane.

    Hello CosmicPoptart,

Using Method Two in OPTION TWO of the tutorial below may be able to restore the default icons for these user folders for you.

    Hope this helps, :)

Thanks for the reply, Shawn. Although it didn't work. I'm stuck when you tell me to put the desktop.ini from the (correct) rar folder. Because every time I extract the rar file into it's own folder, the desktop.ini doesn't show up in the folder. Even with my folder settings set to 'show all files and folders.' I also tried dragging the .ini file from the rar into the folder (that I did open up with the shell command) and it still didn't work.

Double check to make sure that you did step 4 in OPTION ONE to have hidden protected operating system files show as well, and not just hidden system files. :)

Well look at that, that's what I did wrong. I couldn't find the 'hidden protected operating system files' at first until after looking at your screen shot in the last link you provided me! Thank you so very much! It worked after I unhidden the system files and redid the steps! :-D
