ctrl c ctrl v not working.

    you are right.. plugged an external keyboard and ctrl c and v works now..

    As a final test to be 100% (it could theoretically also be a driver problem):

    Boot into win7 recovery environment->command prompt
    and look if ctrl-c works there

    Windows 7: ctrl+c, ctrl+v, ctrl+a stopped working


    Had the same problem and the following worked for me:
    1. From Windows Start, search for Device Manager, and open it up
    2. In device manager navigate to the Keyboard Standard 101/102, and uninstall the driver
    3. Shut down your laptop.
    4. Remove the battery, and after you unplug your laptop, wait for 15s.
    5. Reboot
