Another Black Screen
It's to do with the black screen with mouse pointer. Last week unexpectedly upon restart I got the black screen. All I could do (no safe mode, no alt-ctrl-delete) was run repair. Repair found no issues. However, after running repair a couple times I was able to finally login. All was fine for a few days and last night upon reboot the black screen. Again I was prevented from accessing a newly installed Windows 7 x64. This time the repair solved nothing. I had two restore points. I had to go to the first restore point. That allowed me to access normal windows.
It is hard in a work environment dealing with a computer that randomly black screens for no apparent reason. It would be ideal if the computer simply responded to reboots and offered a normal windows session.
Is there a preventive measure that can be administered to prevent these untimely black screens? I have read most internet article/messages on this topic and I found nothing that explains exactly what would cause the black screen - and most remedies listed offer no real solution.
Let me know what can be done to prevent a Windows 7 Black Screen.
Thanks
