The motherboard name and manufacturer should be printed on it, close to the RAM slots. It's likely a code like "SDR-34-FE23" (made up).
Tell that and we can tell what kinds of RAM you can take and maybe if it supports a better CPU.
Installing Windows 8 for your 700mhz computer? That's an overkill for your system.

- cos in them 'ol days manufacturers used to stick any old agp/type 1 slot in and you could fry the vid card(later version) if you pop the wrong one in.
