since latest windows up date no beta games will load

hi first off im old and know nothing about computers or jargon so if any one replies be gentle with me.
ok i have been playing Open Beta-free-to-play, browser-based games with no problems untill the other night i turned off the computer and it down loaded windows updates .Now no beta games will load and run on my laptop they just freeze the browser and all tabs open i have to shut them down using the small box at the bottom.it must be something to do with the downloads as i have another computer that they will load on but this is too old and slow to run them on.Any help would be good thanks

Hello cliver and welcome to Seven Forums.

I think you've narrowed down the problem to Windows Updates. I would suggest that you uninstall all of those updates and then see if the games will load and run.

Windows Update - Uninstall an Update

Assuming the games are now working, try reinstalling the updates. But instead of automatically installing all of them at once, install just one at a time and restart the computer after each one. See if the games are still working. If yes, install the next update, restart, check games. Keep doing this until either all of the updates have successfully installed, or you've pinpointed which update is causing the problem.

You can manually check for updates by looking in the start menu for Windows Update, or opening Control Panel > Windows Update. Click on "check for updates" and let the scan finish. You should be presented with a list of available updates (critical, important, optional) and they will probably all be checked. Uncheck all but the first critical update and install, restart, check games.
