    Don't understand personalized accounts

I have windows 7, one thing I have trouble with is getting individual accounts to act as individual accounts.
I want to have a user account for me and one for my wife.

I want each one to have their own google chrome browser and their own google drive accounts.

I may in the future want to download programs on one or the other user account without them showing up on both accounts.

I think I may have messed up when setting up and made the admin my account rather than having an adim account plus two other user accounts, one for me and one for my wife.

And how did you "mess up"? What problems exactly are you having? Why not both of you having a admin account? I really don't understand what the problem is...... please give more details.

My username account I made out of administration, which I'm beginning to see was wrong. Software downloaded goes into her account, now her account, when in her account, can't open docs, pics, etc, says don't have authority to open.

Also, I had to re download chrome while in her account but the icon keeps disappearing and the icon for the wifi keeps showing a red x but it is connected.

Most not all software have a checkbox to either let all users or just "this" user use the software.

So save all your data to a different drive , delete the accounts you don't want and set it up as you want it to be. As long you keep your doc.'s pic.'s etc in Public folders you should both be able to access them.

I still don't think I'm getting your problem though...... look at the top of the forums for the "tutorial" section. We have many fine tutorials giving step by step instructions on how to mange user accounts.

    Welcome to the forums btw!
