Go into device manager and locate the mouse, right click and into properties, go to uninstall device or similar, unlpug and plug mouse back in
Just tried that and it didn't work.
have you tried using it as close as possible to the USB receiver?
It seems to be a little better, but I'm literally 2 feet from the receiver normally.

Are you using a powered USB hub? I had similar issue with this and it was a bad USB transformer.
No, I'm not using a USB hub and I'd rather not as it's just extra hardware. I do have 6 USB ports though.

    I know what you mean.

My logitech can get a little stupid at times even though my mouse is never more than one feet away from the USB port the receiver is plugged into.

The smallest, and silliest thing you can think of can block the signal from the mouse to the receiver, causing it to lag.

The only thing that's in the way of the path is my desk.

And I suppose you've plugged the receiver into all of the USB ports as well.
