Pentium D 930 & Windows 7 64 Bit. Please help!

I just bought 4 new RAM (KINGSTON KHX6400D2/2G HYPERX DDR2) 2GB each.

Before i ordered them, i checked if my motherboard supports them and the processor also, and

was OK.

Today i installed them.

But for recognizing the hole memory, i have to install the 64 bit version.

So, here is my problem. When i try to start the process i get either a blue screen, or nothing (just a black screen).

What can i do???

My motherboard supports 8GB memory at 880hz maximum (mine is 4x 2GB at 800hz)
and the CPU at the official site says: Instruction Set 64-bit

Memory Specifications
Physical Address Extensions 32-bit

Any help?

Can i install the x 64 bit version in any way? If not, i suppose that my new memory is useless( 32-bit version recognize only 3,25 memory).

Have you tried to install Windows 7 x64? The processor is the only real factor in determing that, and yours will support an x64 OS.

It's been a while since I used DDR2, but I remember DDR2 being a lot more tempermental in terms of compatibility than DDR1 and now DDR3. Aside from the voltage, the memory chips may not be compatible with your board. You could verify that with Kingston.

YOu are booting the installer, correct? Is this a known-good DVD which can boot to see HD's for install on another PC? If not where did you get the DVD? How is it being activated?

Remove the new RAM to try install. Confirm its specs as suggested. Add it back after install..

Try resetting BIOS to defaults, set SATA controller to AHCI, wipe the HD first with Diskpart Clean Command .

If it fails again post back exacct error message and the step it fails in Clean Install Windows 7

DeaconFrost, i have tried to install Windows 7 x64 but couldn't start the install.

As gregrocker said "He wants to use all 8gb RAM therefore 64 bit is required." That's the point.

The dvd that i install works properly at an other pc. So i think this is not the problem,

but i will try with another one.

I will try to install firstly with my old memory the new OS, and then i will change the memory.

I installed 64 bit on my computer 6 months ago and it would only work to instal from boot start up

gregrocker, the truth is that i was trying booting just pressing enter multiple times and not by
changing the bios settings. I know that is a bit stupid , but i saw that at a friend's pc and worked fine
so i thought that is a easy way.

I will try the right way.
