Okej, I have done both of these and gotten the answer "The operation completed successfully" on both :)bootrec/fixmbr
bootrec/fixboot
Ah wait... I closed the cmd, and typed it again and now its running through the test :)
Only proble you have is:
In that folder are all registry files (except the user profiles). Windows doesn't know: what your password is, where your userprofile is, what programs are installed, what settings programs have, all system settings. Don't know how and who did it.... but folder and files in \windows\system32\config are gone!! Those files are normally locked and can't be deleted. You can only delete them when booting from install DVD for example. Any idea what happened?
- You're missing \windows\system32\config
You can't do a repair install, because that's actually un upgrade install and can only be run from within win7. Also there's nothing to update, there are no settings anymore.
Any important stuff on C you want to keep?
You have a Windows 7 64 bit installation DVD in your version (home premium, prof, ultimate)? Is it in your language?
