Google Chrome Bookmarks Deleted, How to Recover?!

    Hey everyone,

By accident, I was signed into my Gmail account from another computer, and my brother deleted all of my bookmarks, which obviously, affected my bookmarks as well.

I searched the web, and following what they tell me:
C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default, I still can't restore my Bookmarks since my bro had already closed Chrome, which would then save an Backup which is empty of bookmarks.

I was wondering if there is any other way to recover my bookmarks, or are they lost forever?
One idea I was thinking about is using my System Image I created from a few months back. Would this restore my Bookmarks? I am thinking prob. not since Gmail is a cloud storage....

At least it's an new lesson learned....backup EVERYTHING!

What does being signed in to gmail have to do with your bookmarks/favorites. It`s pretty hard to go in and delete your bookmarks by ACCIDENT.

Which browser were they deleted from ?

I don't think you can because you have closed and reopened chrome since deleting things. Have a read of this and see if it is of any help. How to Recover Accidentally Deleted Bookmarks in Chrome & Firefox
Or maybe a system restore to before you deleted things may put them back, not at all sure about that though.

    Pardon my ignorance...

... (not a Chrome user I use FFox) but doesn't Chrome have some sort of "sync" setting for bookmarks etc stored in the "cloud"? If so, does the "cloud" version have an option to restore accidentally deleted stuff?

I can't for life of me understand how Google makes it so "easy" to permanently destroy something so valuable to a user as their bookmarks by a few misguided mouse clicks and then offers ZERO options to recover such valuable items.
