    problem printing puzzle using Acrobat Reader


    I've been printing crossword puzzles from oregonlive.com for over a year. Recently, when I follow the traditional method for printing the puzzle, I click the print button and instead of printing the puzzle the "save as" pop up box appears instead and I can't print the puzzle. I called Adobe tech support and they suggested it was a problem with the Windows folder (can't remember which one). Might anyone here have any idea of what might be going on here and how I can remedy the problem?? Using Windows 7 64 bit. Thanks.

    Hello Augusta, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    You could use the tutorial below as a guide to help double check to make sure that your printer is set as the default printer. It sounds like you have it set to print to a file instead.

sometimes, Acrobat Professional 8.0 and Photo viewer print the first two pages on a single page (30% of the first page and 70% of the second page) but the rest of pages are printed correctly. i also experienced the exact same problem on XP with these two softwares. printer being used is HP1020.
Whenever I click on a pdf link on a site, I get an error (screenshot). If I right-click and select 'Open Link' then the files open OK. Any ideas?
