    Remove multiple entries in boot device list on Hp desktop windows 7


    Need assistance with this problem. When booting system sometimes I hit F9 to select boot device, when I want to boot from dvd or usb. Before you say I can list boot devices in bios I know this, the problem Is UEFI and Legacy my UEFI system is not secure boot and for whatever reason I have to F9 and manually select usb or dvd legacy, some versions of linux will not boot otherwise.

    Anyway my problem is when booting system I hit F9 and this is what it looks like:

    Windows boot manager
    Linux Mint
    Linux mint
    Linux Mint
    Linux Mint
    Ubuntu
    Ubuntu
    Ubuntu
    Ubuntu

    Legacy boot sources:
    Hard Drive
    SATA0
    Network controller
    Atapi cd/dvd drive
    SATA2

    Over the course of the last year I have dual booted several version of linux, but it seems that linux mint and ubuntu add entries to my UEFI boot sources list...how do I remove them, the list is getting to long, and currently only windows 7 is installed.

    I would avoid EFI if it doesn't offer advantages and only trouble: Bypass UEFI to Install WIn7

    I guess that is what I am going to do for now. Keep me posted if you see anything otherwise.
