    Format

    Hello Guys !
I just need to format my hard disk that is all and i have no idea how to do that. A file of around 280 GB just disappears. I was just moving it somewhere and while it was moving i cancelled it so it disappeared from it's previous location and the place where i was copying it. Rather than searching for the file i better delete it but i can't even find it. So i'm formatting Guys please help ASAP

Hello Done4lyf, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Is this a data drive that you are wanting to format?

Have you already backed up anything else on the hard drive that you don't want to lose?

If so, then you should be able to open the Computer window, right click on the hard drive, and click on Format. You'll want to format it as a NTFS drive.

    Format a HDD or USB

    Hope this helps, :)
    Shawn

You could use Macrium Reflect (see link above) to create an image of your OS drive to save to the external HDD. :)
