Creating a URL Shortcut Icon to Taskbar - Please Help

I am having trouble creating a URL shortcut icon to my taskbar that will, when clicked, take me right to that website (www.canadapost.ca). I could do this in Windows XP, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it in Windows 7. I read a tutorial here about it, but it didn't work. Please help.

    Hello ESL,

Option One or Option Three in the tutorial below can show you how to create a website shortcut that you are able to pin to the taskbar.

    Hope this helps, :)

It just moves the shortcut to the desktop. I can't get it to appear on my taskbar.

Use OPTION THREE for the best results. :)

If you already have Internet Explorer pinned to the taskbar, then you could also pin the website in IE's Jump List if you like.

Did that, and it still doesn't work. It just pins it to some menu, and doesn't give me the option to pin it to my taskbar.

Did you scroll down and use OPTION THREE in the tutorial below to create the website shortcut? When you right click on the shortcut, it should have a "Pin to taskbar" option.

For example, create the shortcut using this below.

    Code:
    "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" http://www.canadapost.ca

If you now drag that shortcut to the taskbar don't you get the option "Pin to Taskbar"?
Not 100% sure for W7 but in W8 it works that way.
