old windows xp computer randomly shuts down

im not sure what it is, it has never gone 10 minutes without shutingdown, new hdd and re-installed windows xp home edition sp2 32 bit. please help!

Skrillek, My first cut at this is that you have either a Fan problem or heat related. I would check the heat sink on your processor and give your power supply a cleaning with compressed air.

Computer shuts down randomly
i can be doing any thing on my pc and it will shut down with out blue screening then restarts. i have checked cpu and gpu temps all look ok and have done memtest on each stick which came back with a pass. any help would be much appreciated.

My PC randomly shuts down with no warning. This has happen 3 or 4 times over the last couple of years. I have done everything I can think of. I uploaded a video of what happens. Has anyone ever had this problem?

Computer shuts off randomly.
For some reason my Laptop shuts off randomly. I have no BSOD. Its like I held down the power button. Is there a setting that make your computer shut off after an amount of time or could it be a..... VIRUS :shock:
