Window 7 Professional blinking twice at login and again once after

There's nothing wrong with my computer that I know of, just noticing these black flashes for some time now and thought I would finally seek information on why this could be happening. It happens everytime I turn on my computer, two black screen flashes at the login screen and another black flash in the main menu screen right after logging in. Any ideas?

    Thanks

    p.s.
2x flash at the login screen
1x flash at main menu screen

Hello and welcome FC mate a start would be to do a sfc /scannow to check the filing system

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

First of all, I agree with you that nothing is wrong with the computer, at least not regarding this issue. The reason may be your monitor is performing a screen refresh for some reason; strictly speculation.

I've had this same issue. My graphics card driver/utility was performing a Auto configeration everytime i Rebooted/powered on my machine.

try updating your graphics card driver.

    Report back.

You're correct braddersz, I updated the latest driver and it stopped doing that. But, just as I was writing this post it did another screen refresh Sir George was talking about. Probably just getting used to the new driver, thanks it worked.

Hum glad it's fixed then never gave the monitor a thought but am a tad confused as to why the monitor should start doing that - unless it was a new one?? so why should it is it on the blink?
