    Thanks for the feedback people, I think kari was right with his reply. In languages and keyboard, in control panel, i selected English US, instead of English US-International in the drop down box, and it seems to have fixed it. Thanks, it wasn't a huge issue, more of just an annoyance, so thanks for your time.
