I am just enquiring as to whether you can delete .chk files and what are they?

Hello Melissa,

A .CHK file is a Microsoft Windows save file fragment. Disk cleaners, such as CHKDISK and ScanDisk, store the .CHK file in a "Found" folder once the disk scan has completed. You can safely delete .CHK files since the information from the file is in another location on the hard disk.
