    Nothing works: cable or adapter.

It's hard to help you troubleshoot when nothing is replied for half the questions and steps suggested.

Resolving these types of issues takes the utmost thoroughness, missing nothing

Do you have a router? What happens if you plug in a USB wireless adapter?

I have installed 2 different usb adapters but couldn't connect either. Wish I could take screen shots now but im not where my pc is at this time. I installed a tp-link pci-e card and is working, windows doesn't recognize it nor let it connect to the network. Yes I have a verizon fios router. I used to connect to att uverse router. But even if I connect the cat5 cable doesn't connect to the internet either

There is a laptop, xbox 360, 4 different apple devices and my galaxy s3 connected to the router.
My pc used to work fine connected to the att uverse router via usb adapter. One day all of the sudden the connection failed, it hasn't work since then. I connected the pc with a cat5 to a wifi extender. But that connection failed after a few days also. Nothing has work since then.

Can you plug the problem PC's same ethernet cable attached to the router/modem into another PC to see if it works correctly? If so then it points to the install.

When was the last time you reinstalled?

Do you have another HD you can run a test reinstall to? If not I'd shrink C, boot the Win7 installer for your licensed version to run a test install to a partition you create during install. The latest official installer is here along with steps to get a perfect Clean Reinstall.

Have your ethernet cable plugged in to router or modem (whichever works when same is connected to another PC) which should cause the ethernet driver to be installed with Win7. If not have it standing by to install first to get online, do all Important and Optional Windows Updates after enabling Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3) before doing anything else.

If this works then you can transfer your User folder data and programs over from the other install, we will help you delete it after everything is transferred.

That`s what I was getting at by asking you if you had any other pc`s connected and are they getting out fine, but at the end you say nothing has worked since. Define nothing, just the 1 pc or all of them.

My pc is the only device that can not connect to the network nor the internet. When I say "nothing works" I mean all the changes, modifications or attempts to fix my pc.

Question: I did the repair install of win7, why didn't this fix the problems with the lan controller?

A Repair install is not the same as a Clean Reinstall, but only reinstalls the OS while keeping all of the programs, files and settings in place. There is the possibility that corrupt settings or programs that conflict can be passed back through.

What you need is a perfect baseline reinstall connecting only to install all rounds of Important and Optional Updates after enabling Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3) to get the drivers, performance and security updates Win7 wants. Then take your time installing programs to test performance in between each so if you lose connection again you'll know what is responsible.

Are you aware how to install drivers, both from their installer or if necessary browsing into their unzipped folder from Device Manager to pick up the driver manually? Driver Install - Device Manager.
