Windows memorize folder view

Every time I go into My Documents and all its sub-folders the view has been reset to "details" from "Medium Icons".
Is there a way to make Win7 remember my folder settings?

You will see lots of post suggesting adding and setting this "BagMRU Size"
Make Windows 7 remember window positions and size!
And lots of post saying that it did not help.

I've not seen this issue in W7 yet, but for XP, I used to delete the BagMRU and Bags keys and set all of the folders as desired.
