write protect a hard drive on belkin hd n600

    write protect a hard drive on belkin hd n600


    recently networked a seagate free agent hard drive 1.5tb on my belkin hd n600 router want to write protect my drive so nobody else can add or delete anything how can i do this ?

    Open "My computer" right click on the drive and choose "Properties" then Security and set permissions to suit.

    tried it not the same as the other drives can choose permissions doesnt apply

    Can't understand what you mean,are you saying that you cannot change the permissions? Are they greyed out? Have you got Admin rights?

    no theyre there can chose after i hit apply goes back to the same
