    COM SURROGATE issue

    Hi all:

I have been having a COM SURROGATE issue in my 3 recent windows installation (Windows 8 Po, Windows Ultimate 64 bits, Windows Home Premium 64 bits).

I am only using now Windows Home Premium 64 bits and I still get the infamous COM SURROGATE windows from time to time.

It may be related to another issue I am experiencing and about which I have posted here: Windows Explorer not working: left pane freezes and can't browse files

The COM SURROGATE message I get is the following (sorry, guys, my system is in Spanish):

    Firma con problemas:
Nombre del evento de problema: APPCRASH
    Nombre de la aplicación: DllHost.exe
    Versión de la aplicación: 6.1.7600.16385
Marca de tiempo de la aplicación: 4a5bc6b7
Nombre del módulo con errores: StackHash_ab05
Versión del módulo con errores: 6.1.7601.17725
Marca de tiempo del módulo con errores: 4ec49b8f
    Código de excepción: c0000374
    Desplazamiento de excepción: 000ce6c3
    Versión del sistema operativo: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
    Id. de configuración regional: 2057
    Información adicional 1: ab05
    Información adicional 2: ab05e635e02dd672d4d6fd6a42b3f298
    Información adicional 3: 355b
    Información adicional 4: 355bde8035025a3e96f936041b58fd76

Appreciate any help to fix it or make it less annoying if possible!
    Thank you!!

    Regrettably, I couldn't deactivate DEP for dllhost.exe .

I get a windows message saying that "DEP attributes cannot be established in 64-bits executable files" (translation)

I haven't upgraded Intel display drivers neither.

Thinking about doing a system repair with my system recovery disks.

    Any other ideas, very welcomed.

    Cheers

    Hi all:

I finally opted for reinstalling the O.S. again.
Took a long time, but now my laptops are working well.

    Thanks for your suggestions!

Deactivate DEP for dllhost.exe in this folder instead, if the errors return.

    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\dllhost.exe
